First Aid Renal Embryology

Ureteric Bud Development:

Ureteropelvic junction: common site for hydronephrosis = dilation and distention of the renal pelvis, calyces caused by obstruction of the urine flow from the kidney.

3 causes: 1) ARPKD 2) bilateral renal agenesis 3) Posterior urethral valves
a typical physical appearance, which is the result of a dramatically decreased amniotic fluid volume (oligohydramnios) secondary to renal diseases such as bilateral renal agenesis.

Importance of Amniotic Fluid:
Potter Syndrome Face:

Pulmonary hypoplasia
Oligohydrominios
Twisted skin (wrinkly skin)
Twisted face (Potter facies)
Extremities defects
Renal agenesis (bilateral)
1) Autosomal Recessive Polycystic Kidney Disease

Typical infantile appearance of autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease.

 2)    Bilateral Renal Agenesis:

3) Posterior Urethral Valves

a small membrane of tissue develops in the urethra and blocks the normal flow of urine. The bladder, ureters and kidneys become progressively dilated.

Horseshoe Kidney: Kidneys trapped under inferior mesenteric artery

With what is horseshoe kidney associated with?
Turner Syndrome

Abnormal interaction between the metenephros and the ureteric bud leads to?

Multicystic dysplastic kidney -> non functional kidney consisting of cysts and connective tissue

  1. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
